Sew Much Hope has changed its name to Humanity Sews to coincide with the expansion of our mission to establish sewing schools both in the US and in countries around the world to teach entrepreneurial and sewing skills to individuals in need. We also continue to provide individuals with micro-loans in the form of sewing machines to facilitate business opportunities that foster self-reliance in our sewing school graduates. Working with other humanitarian groups and like minded individuals is key to our success. We welcome your involvement!

“We recently visited the Chisomo Women’s Sewing Club in Zambia, Africa, to take them machines and teach sewing techniques. With machines, these women can make uniforms required to send their children to school and change their lives.”
“Within one hour the ladies were able to communicate the whole process of sewing bags, money holders, and patterns. A local hotel has contracted a group of women to make napkins for their dining rooms. The ladies at El Bichito, Peru have hope that learning to sew will help them grow personally and help support their families.”
“We were able to get the sewing machines to the Rokpa House in Boudha Nepal. They are expanding their women’s sewing program and were very happy to have the new machines. Here is a picture of their existent center where women escaping domestic violence or abject poverty, often following divorce, are given shelter and skill training.”
“The Women’s Center will allow the Yazidi women to make their own clothing as well as sew dolls and bears which will be sent to Yazidi orphans who have survived genocide in Iraq. The team spent 10 days helping train the Yazidi women and LHI volunteers on how to use the sewing machines, take care of the machines, and make the dolls and bears.”
“For you to trust my alliance partners and me with the opportunity to use your generous donation of sewing machines and newborn baby kits make such a difference at Camatin in such a practical way, it’s a beautiful thing.”
Humanity Sews works with humanitarian organizations to provide sewing machines. Builders Without Borders used Humanity Sews machines for its classes in Tijuana, Mexico.
